Every time I travel, I am inundated with questions about Montserrat. Now the world can finally get a direct glimpse into the lives of people who live on Montserrat. In addition, it will provide a place for Montserrat and its residents to discuss issues of concern or celebrate achievements. Montserrat continues to suffer economically and psychologically as a result of its ongoing volcanic eruption. Many people are misinformed about what is really going on in Montserrat. They see Montserrat as a tiny island living under the huge footsteps of a volcano. There is so much more to Montserrat. This is why many who built up the courage to visit this tiny island, in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean, agree that the ‘Emerald Isle’ is the best kept secret in the world.

It still remains a wonder to most that dare to witness this marvel in person why it remains such a negatively perceived island consider by most of the world as just waiting for the big bang to finish what the first bang started.

No amount of media coverage or public relations campaigns have been able to make even the tininess impact to correct this most inaccurate impression of Montserrat.

Known for its resilience, this blog is also an example of the entire country’s dedication, devotion, and loyalty to rebuild a once cherished, elite, and almost extinct success this tiny island’s history once proudly acclaimed.

The cultural history of Montserrat is rare and hard to find in any form of paper or tangible records. This could very well be as a result of the island’s culture itself. For instance, numerous stories of cultural norms and laws are recited amongst gatherings of all types, to include families, friends, colleagues, associates, and compete strangers.
