Mr. Easton Farrell responds to election campaign challenges and details the Movement for Change and Prosperity’s (MCAP) agenda;

“The four lectures will be titled ‘I heard the Mountain Groaning’, a brief history of Montserrat and the first eruption; ‘Shovelling’, about the history of the volcano and the Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO); ‘Have a Little Faith’, featuring songs, poems, and art, which emerged from the crisis; and ‘Still Nice, Still Home’, on how Montserrat has come to terms with living with the volcano and the ten year plan to build its new capital.”

Since 1992, Furlonge has been representing Montserrat at the Annual International Food Fair in Antigua and CARIFESTA, the Caribbean’s premiere cultural event.

The MTB reports that Montserrat received about twenty minutes of coverage and was the first island featured in the episode.

“People who use the vehicles, the time has come…too great a risk…all of us see the overloading. We will be checking the vehicles…looking at whose driving the vehicles…they are employing young drivers with very little experience…It’s too great a risk, so we have to plead with the owners and the operators to look at their responsibility and oversee how they are loading vehicles.”

The MSBA was offered the opportunity to nominate two of its members to the meeting of the ARLG scheduled for 7 – 11 September 2009 in Montserrat.
